Boredom

I pray daily that I’ll find time to be bored. Why? Well because it makes me evaluate why I’m bored. It’s a problem to solve, and usually the solution is creativity. Which is fuckin great because that’s the foundation on which my career is built.

We’re so obsessed with this idea that work should be a set amount of hours in a set amount of days. Being honest I’d say that I probably do my best work maybe like 3 hours a week. Those three hours are preceded by an intense feeling of boredom that I must solve.

Copy, paste, set type, youtube, copy paste, update link, youtube, coffee, youtube, check link, move around images, meeting, yawn, sit, build layouts, think, interruption, youtube, meeting, dick joke, yawn, youtube, yawn, set type, move images, yawn, yawn, rock bottom boredom, get up, walk around, ask people whats up, meet with other designers, brainstorm, genius ideas, work, produce, smile, go home.

you should be bored more often. It’s lovely.
